Marie Duty, Owner

Over the past several years Bloom Early Learning has grown from an idea to a reality. We are grateful for the many children and families we have had the privilege of serving since getting our start in the Waxhaw community in 2021. Together with a caring and accomplished team of teachers, as well as the most amazing community of families, we are creating a place of learning that is magical! We are committed to play-based learning that is as intentional as it is inviting. And to an environment that is as welcoming as it is fun.

As the Owner, Director, and one of the teachers, I have the honor of being involved in all of the functions of our school. I hold a Master’s in Public Administration and have worked with the under six population since the start of my career. With nearly 25 years of experience teaching and working with preschoolers, I come to this program with a passion for literacy, creativity, and relationship building. In addition to my years in the classroom, I have over 15 years of experience as a Preschool Director.  I absolutely loveworking alongside the team we have assembled for Bloom. They truly are the best of the best!  And the families that have joined our community are wonderful - kind, invested, encouraging, and supportive. Bloom feels like home because of our team and our families and we couldn’t be more grateful.

We all invite you to come see what all of the fun is about!

Staff Team

The staff team at Bloom brings decades of professional preschool experience but also energy, passion, and a dedication to creating an environment that recognizes the individuality of each child in a group setting. We all believe there is great joy in teaching.  It is our privilege to be trusted to nurture and develop each child in our care.

Staff members are certified in CPR/First Aid and receive regular training on a variety of best practices in early childhood education. We continue to learn and grow in areas of true play-based learning, creating developmentally appropriate lessons, classroom management, meeting a variety of individual needs, and socio-emotional learning and regulation.
